Social Worker and Therapist, Erin Randol, works with moms, anxiety, family issues, and clinical supervision for social workers.

Hey there! I’m Erin Randol.

I am the owner, founder, and lead therapist for Sunrise Therapy Services located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

I live on a farm in Southeast Missouri with my super-cool husband, three super-fun kids, and an alarming number of cows.

My speaking style has been described by my clients as “warm, grounded, and real”. I often present as calm but candid, insightful without being preachy. I blend validation with clarity, and I speak directly to moms in a way that feels both therapeutic and empowering.

I’m a big fan of the idea of being a life-long learner. I like a good audio book, podcasts, and interactive training that allow me to geek out harder and harder each day on this therapy stuff. I literally love it all. I am confident that life led me to my perfect career path.

As much as I love a good life plan, I didn’t wake up one day and think, “I’m going to be a therapist.” After college in 2010, I randomly ended up getting a masters in social work and later became clinically licensed. And now I am out here living my best life as a therapist.

When I’m not working or volunteering, I’m hangin’ with my besties (ages 9, 7, and 3). I love giving them new experiences and skills like how to pull the weeds out of the garden and not the whole zucchini plant, or how to cut food without losing a finger, and why a shower before bed IS actually necessary more than twice a week.

If you need help navigating life’s messes, I’ve got the experience, the confidence, and just enough sarcasm to get you through it.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Erin Randol, MSW, LCSW

Erin’s Background

I graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 2010, then earned my Master’s in Social Work from St. Louis University in 2013. After that, I spent several years in social work case management, working with individuals with developmental disabilities from 2013 to 2020.

In 2016, I passed my clinical licensure exam, and when the pandemic hit, I transitioned to providing contracted telehealth services from home. In June 2022, I opened my private practice and have been working full-time with clients ever since.

My training includes 50+ hours of virtual EMDR training in 2021, with ongoing advanced training since then. Starting in 2022, I began extensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which has become my primary modality that I love learning about through ongoing trainings.

Therapy for Dads Adjusting to Fatherhood & for Anxious Mothers

with Alia Perr, Clinical Therapist in Cape Girardeau and across Missouri

A woman with brown hair and tattoos on her arm. She is smiling and wearing a beige cardigan over a white top, standing in front of a neutral-colored background with decorative shelves.

Meet Alia Perr, LCSW:

A Highly-Skilled Therapist for New Dads and Anxious Women

Contracted with Sunrise Therapy Services, LLC

  • Maybe you’re a dad of young children who wants to show up better but keeps showing up as the guy who jumps to fixing instead of listening… the dad who loves his children immensely but gets frustrated with them easily…

  • Maybe you and your partner are arguing more, feeling disconnected, or stuck in the same conversations that go nowhere.

  • Or maybe you’re a mom who feels anxious, on edge, and overwhelmed especially when your husband keeps missing the point or struggles to accept your feedback without becoming defensive.

  • Alia specializes in working with:

    • New Dads & Men’s Mental Health Issues

    • Highly Anxious Women

    • Postpartum Anxiety in New Moms

    • Teens Making Healthy Friendships

    • Family Therapy for High- Conflict Divorces

  • For dads, therapy with Alia looks like learning how to be more patient, more present, and more connected to your kids and partner without losing your temper, shutting down, or blaming someone else for your reactions

For moms, it looks like safely knowing how to slow down, trusting your own judgement again (or maybe for the first time ever), and getting to love your sweet babies as big as you possibly can!

We fully believe that Alia is someone that you want in your corner when you are going through some very tough stuff.

  • She’s known for being direct, honest, and blunt. We jokingly called the “bro therapist” because she’s especially skilled at calling men out in a way that doesn’t lead to avoidance and defensiveness. This flow well into her work with teens too!

She is the best at helping new dads move out of shutdown, defensiveness, or “fix-it mode” and into actually listening, understanding, and showing up.

Alia also integrates EMDR, a gold-standard trauma therapy, for clients who feel stuck in patterns that don’t make sense or reactions that feel bigger than the moment.

EMDR therapy digs right into the “not good enough” thinking patterns often found in anxious women and new mothers.
