The Value of EMDR Therapy

Sunrise Therapy Services uses Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy to treat conditions of anxiety, emotional abuse, physical abuse, acute trauma events, complex traumas, childhood traumas, relationship issues, depression, family issues, grief, and loss.

The goal of EMDR treatment is to eliminate disturbance and suffering, increase the ability to self soothe, increase in ability to safely feel emotions, regain a sense of self, bond appropriately with others, and remember challenging life events with less emotional distress.

EMDR Therapy does not have the ability to change the past, erase memories, clear all undesired symptoms, or heal brain damage. This therapy was developed in 1987 by Francine Shapiro.

Erin M. Randol

Erin Randol, MSW, LCSW, is the owner of Sunrise Therapy Services, LLC and a Missouri-based therapist known for working with moms who are tired, overwhelmed, overstimulated, and irritable.

She built Sunrise Therapy Services into a thriving virtual practice serving women across Missouri, with a strong focus on postpartum mental health especially postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, postpartum OCD, and the kind of “mom rage” that most people don’t talk about out loud but so many moms quietly experience.

Erin is known for being straightforward, real, and actually helpful. No vague advice, just blunt and honest intervention.

Her work blends EMDR, IFS, ACT and she’s especially known for helping women move through trauma, burnout, ADHD-related overwhelm, anxiety, and the identity shift that comes with motherhood. She also works closely with teens struggling with anxiety, confidence, emotional regulation, and friendship stress.

Over the years, Sunrise Therapy Services has become a trusted space for moms and women who want therapy that feels grounded, practical, and actually effective especially when life feels loud, messy, or out of control.
